Anchor Tavern opens.

[1661] Also called the Blue Anchor, it is operated by Richard Fairbanks and located at today’s 266 Washington Street (250). Sometimes called the first tavern in Boston , it is purchased by Robert Turner in 1652, and the Blue Anchor Tavern is later located here.
